Terms

Renter must possess a valid local or international driving license which must have been held for at least 3 years and free from traffic endorsement.

Renter in the context hereinafter stated shall include wherever applicable. Authorized Operator and/or Additional Driver who must have achieved the age between 25 and 60 years old. Renter has declared that he/she is physically fit and that he has not been declined an insurance proposal.

Minimum rental rate is one day (24 hours period). Hourly charge is based on one sixth (1/6) of the applicable daily rate to the maximum of six (6) hours, there after a full day
rate will be charge.

Every FTCR vehicle leaves our premises with full tank of fuel which is to be refueled upon return. If the tank is not refueled in full, cost of refueling including service charge of RM 15.00 will be levied.

There is a charge of RM 30.00 for these services rendered within 5km radius of the renting station in the city during office hour. A fee may be imposed on services provided outside this area.

FTCR accepts all major credit cards such as Visa Card and Master Card. By directing charges in anyway incurred under the Rental Agreement, the renter shall be jointly and severally responsible for the payment of all charges. Imprinting of your Credit Card on the rental Agreement shall be sufficient in directing credit charges.

Should the required rental period be extended beyond the agreed terminating date, it is essential that the renting station be informed immediately and mode of payment. Failure to comply may mean the renter is driving the vehicle without insurance.

Renter will be responsible for and pay all parking or traffic violation fines arising out of the use, possession or operation of the vehicles including administrative and related expenses which may be advanced by FTCR. An additional RM 50.00 administration fee will be levied to the renter over and above any fine and penalty cost for any violation arising from renter’s use of the vehicle. FTCR retains the right to recover any and all cost for traffic violations or otherwise.

Upon return, the car has to be in the same condition as when it was released for rental. Failing which, the renter will be liable for the cost of restoring the vehicle to its’ original position.

The rental rates shown in this brochure includes full indemnity for accidental damage to third party property and bodily injuries. However, in line with the commercial insurance
practice, the Renter is always responsible for an amount equivalent to the
excess clause as follows:

Renter is obliged to promptly and properly report any accident, theft or vandalism involving the vehicle to FTCR and/or the nearest Police Station. A valid Police Report will be required to allow FTCR’s investigation of such incident and defense of any resulting claim.

FAILURE TO COOPERATE FULLY MAY VOID ALL LIABILITY PROTECTION, C.D.W. AND PAI (wherever applicable).

FTCR renter and passenger may arrange Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) waiver, which provides cover up to RM 10,000 at RM 7 per day.

A renter may drop off a rented car at another city where varying collection fees, which are outlined below will be levied.

All vehicles are insured for driving in Sarawak only. No permission will be given for driving into Indonesia, Brunei & Sabah. No tool & spare tyre inside car unless requested. Vehicles must not be used for any unlawful activities and/or racing/off road activities.
